My story
I began my journey in genealogy at age 12, inspired by my mother, Claudia Lisbeth González Borrayo (R.I.P.). She loved preserving family photographs and documents, and through her example I discovered that family history is not just about names and dates, but about identity, memory, and legacy. What started as a shared interest soon became my professional calling.
I formalized my training by earning an Associate’s Degree in Family History from Brigham Young University-Idaho, where I developed strong research, analysis, and documentation skills. I also hold a degree in International Relations, and an MBA at Universidad del Istmo Business School. I have collaborated as an independent contractor with Ancestry Pro Genealogists, Legacy Tree Genealogists and PBS series “Finding Your Roots”, conducting archival research in Guatemala and El Salvador.
I have extensive fieldwork experience in major archives and parish repositories, as well as proficiency in platforms such as Ancestry, FamilySearch, MyHeritage, and Find a Grave. I am passionate about helping families reconnect with their Latin American roots and have successfully reconstructed lineages across Guatemala, Mexico, and El Salvador, restoring histories once thought lost.
